The Walls Have Eyes: Horror at Kraine Gallery

Last night: the opening for Things That Go Bump In the Night (on display through November 16) was a solid dose of eerie: like a haunted house for the gallery set.  Horror-inspired pieces by 66 artists covered the blood-red walls of Kraine Gallery and finally put me in the mood for the season, which I had yet to get down on.  See the pictures above for a peek at some of my favorite works and snap-shots of costumed party-goers, like artist Tatiana Ortiz-Rubio photographed alongside her ghoulish cyclops.

Things That Go Bump In The Night

If you are in NYC tonight – come to the opening party for “Things That Go Bump in The Night” at Kraine Gallery/ KGB Bar.  It has been co-curated by Kaitlyn Stubbs and PUZL’s favorite Jacob Hicks.  I have an extra mask, in case you need it.

Opening one week before Halloween with a campy B-HORROR COSTUME PARTY, this is an East Village art experience you won’t want to miss. Come as your favorite low-budget monster, creepy creepster, vamp, or brain-eating zombie. Bring out the gore, wrap yourself in gauze, put on the trashy eye-liner, and pour on the fake blood.

Prize for Best B-Horror costume.
Halloween treats and mischief for all!

Mid-Week Magic: Uta Bekaia

Hump day? I’m already exhausted and staring down the barrell of two more full days.  Today would be a whole lot better if I could rock this shoe swagger by desginer Uta Bekaia (seen at Williamsburg Fashion Weekened for s/s 2013).
